Our contractor Wanless PK has been hard at work, having pressed on through winter, they are now up to full speed now the wind and rain has gone. Thanks to their efforts, progress on the Looe Coastguard Flats is going really well. The chimneys are now complete, and the solar panels fitted to the rear roof. This means that the work on the roof has finished!
Inside, new insulated and acoustic barrier floors have been laid, and plastering has begun. Though there has been some issues with the lime finish due to there still being a lot of moisture in the walls from years of leaks and disuse, it is nothing we can't handle. Refurbishment of the windows is also underway.
Sadly the beautiful bay windows over the arch at the front of the building are rotten and in poor condition, so we will need to completely rebuild them. All in all the team has made fantastic progress, and now with the weather brightening up we are expecting momentum to really pick up.
